You accept these terms by using the service.
When you create an account or use any part of hunt.work (including the marketing site), you agree to these Terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use hunt.work. We don't knowingly serve minors. If you're accepting these terms on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
A matchmaking tool, not an employer.
hunt.work is software that:
- Builds a structured profile from your CV.
- Scores roles from sources you point us at against criteria you describe.
- Drafts CVs and cover letters tailored to a specific role, then proof-reads them.
- Lets employers (when that side ships) describe a role and surface matches from candidates who have opted in.
We are not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or labour-market intermediary in any regulated sense. We don't enter into employment relationships with seekers, we don't guarantee placements, and we don't take a commission on hires. The service is a tool you use to do your own job search or your own hiring.
We don't guarantee that any application drafted via hunt.work will result in an interview, an offer, or employment, nor that any role surfaced via the matching pipeline will still be open, accurately described, or available to you. Final decisions about applying, hiring, and being hired rest with you and the counterparty.
What we expect from you.
- Accurate profile. The CV and profile information you give us must be truthful. Don't misrepresent credentials, employment history, or qualifications. We don't verify these — the counterparty does, and misrepresentation is on you.
- Lawful sources. When you point hunt.work at a job board or careers page, you confirm you have the right to scan it under that source's terms of service. We honour
robots.txtand respect rate limits on our side, but the choice of source is yours. - Account security. Keep your sign-in credentials private. Use 2FA or a passkey if your account is sensitive. Notify us if you suspect a compromise.
- Review before you send. Application materials are AI-drafted (Section 06). They're yours to edit, accept, or reject before they leave the system.
- One person, one account. Don't share an account with others. Operate multi-user team accounts through the Employer tier (when available).
The commercial bits.
Pricing is on the /pricing page. The free tier is real and limit-bound; paid plans unlock higher quotas and premium features. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (and its regional affiliates where applicable); we store the customer ID and subscription metadata, not your card details.
Billing cycle
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, your choice at checkout). You can pause or cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
We offer a goodwill 14-day refund window on your first paid subscription period. Email [email protected] within 14 days of your first charge and we'll refund it, full stop, no questions about why. Outside that window we don't pro-rate partial-period cancellations — you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction gives you a longer or stronger refund right (for example, EU consumers under Directive 2011/83/EU, or specific US state laws), that law prevails over the 14-day window above.
If we materially change the price of your plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before that renewal to avoid the new rate.
Taxes
Prices on the site are exclusive of applicable sales tax, VAT, and other indirect taxes; Stripe calculates and adds the correct rate at checkout based on your billing address.
What you can't do with the service.
- Scrape, mass-export, or otherwise extract other users' data. The MCP / API surface is for your own account's data.
- Use hunt.work to spam employers, candidates, or any third party.
- Use the AI generation features to produce content that's defamatory, deceptive, harassing, or otherwise unlawful.
- Use the service to apply for roles on behalf of another person without their authorisation.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or weights (beyond what is permitted by mandatory law).
- Run automated load against the service beyond the documented rate limits, or attempt to evade those limits.
- Test security boundaries without coordinating with us first — see [email protected] for the (informal) bug bounty.
- Use the service in violation of applicable export-control, sanctions, or labour law.
We can suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used in a way that violates this section. Where the issue is recoverable, we'll tell you what changed and how to come back into compliance.
The CVs and cover letters we draft.
hunt.work uses large language models (Anthropic Claude; routed via OpenRouter — see privacy § 05) to generate application materials. A separate proof-reader step verifies the draft against your source claims. You retain ownership of the inputs (your CV, hunt profile, notes) and of the generated output for your own use.
AI output can be wrong. It can misstate your experience, invent details, or use phrasing that doesn't match your voice. Read every draft before you send it. The proof-reader catches a lot, but the final responsibility is yours.
Anthropic's enterprise terms prohibit training on your inputs. We don't train any of our own models on your data either. Other model providers reached via OpenRouter are governed by their respective terms — the current routing table is in our inference module.
Who owns what.
Your content
You retain ownership of everything you upload or generate through the service: your CV, hunt profile, sources, application snapshots, messages. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you. The licence terminates when you delete the content or close your account.
Our service
The hunt.work software, brand, documentation, and the prompts / orchestration layer are our intellectual property or licensed to us. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose during your subscription.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions or bug reports, we can use them to improve the service without obligation to you.
What we are and aren't liable for.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law (including consumer-protection law applicable to you).
Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The service is provided as-is and as-available. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific match, draft, or AI output will be accurate or useful.
- We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, missed offers, or damage to reputation.
- Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (i) the fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the claim arose, or (ii) USD $100.
How an account ends.
By you
You can close your account at any time via Settings → Security → Delete my account. Deletion is real and cascades from the account row; see privacy § 06 for retention details, including the 30-day backup ageing window.
By us
We can suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms (notably Section 05), for unpaid invoices after a reasonable notice, or if we're required to by law. Where practical we'll give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue first.
What survives
Sections 04 (settled invoices), 07 (IP), 08 (liability), 10 (governing law), and 12 (contact) survive termination.
Where disputes get resolved.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable US federal law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Informal resolution first
Before filing a formal claim, please email [email protected] with a clear description of the issue. We'll try to resolve it in good faith within 30 days. Most things can be sorted out this way.
Venue
If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or cause of action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. Each side waives any objection to forum non conveniens.
Jury trial waiver & class waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you and hunt.work each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that any proceeding will be brought on an individual basis only — not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative action.
How changes happen.
We'll update these Terms when the service or the legal context materially changes. Non-material updates (typo fixes, clarifications) take effect on publication. For material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we'll notify you at the email on your account at least 30 days before they apply, and you can close your account before they take effect.
